Compilation Slopestyle

This is a pretty easy course compared to the other. It's simple, straightforward, and easy to rack up big points. On a straight line from the start is a X5 Multiplier, another X5, a Bonus Points Star, and a X3. Later in the course after the two flights of stairs is a rail that leads to a X10. Make sure you have a lot of speed and jump before the rail levels off. Gold is in the bag If you're having trouble on the course, there's a half-pipe at the end. Use that if it's your forte. If you're...

Wild Tree Fun Race

As long as you can stay upright, this one's easy. You probably won't even see the competitors. Seriously, you can get first in this race without boosting or cutting a single corner. But, what the heck, let's look at a few shortcuts. Make a right turn when you see the big yellow dragon and head into the tunnel. Instead of making the first turn to the right, just go up and over the lip. Travel straight across and pass between the ramp and the low wall. Make your way through the trees following...

Controls

For the love of fluffy little kittens please go play through the tutorial We could tell you that tilting the Nunchuk left and right makes your character carve left and right. We could tell you that flicking the Nunchuk up makes your character jump. Heck, we could even describe how moving the Remote vertically or horizontally while in the air respectively flips or spins your character but we won't. You need to go through the tutorial and try it yourself. Develop a feel for it. Practice it. Learn...

Happiness Race

Just go fast. Every time you bounce into the air, do a trick. That will keep your Groove Meter up so you can keep boosting. The logs you see scattered about don't cut corners as much as they point you in the right direction and provide opportunities for air. Use them when you can. Stay to the left at the beginning to take an alternate route. It's not much faster but there are less trees, rocks, and competitors on that path so there's less stuff to worry about.

Dysfunktion Half Pipe

Doing a board press on the way to the half pipe will net you a few extra points. If you wish to enter the half-pipe next to you, do a handstand on the lip (Z Button + A Button) and shift your weight to the other side (rotate the Nunchuk). Build up speed and pull off a variety of tricks. Don't just spin or grab, do both. Do as many Ubers as you can and keep an eye out for the Bonus Points Stars. See those floating star icons littered about Those are bonus points. 10k for blue and 25k for green....

Spring Break

-Go through 9 ringsRing 1 - This one can be the hardest one to pick up because you won't have much momentum. Go straight and carve left when you get to the ramp. If you find you're not getting enough distance to reach the ring, angle slightly left as soon as you start. The area closer to the tree is smoother and will help you build up a bit more speed. Ring 2 - Put the Boost icon between you and the next ring. Hop up to grab the Boost and then hop through the ring. Do a quick trick on your way...

Challenges

When you're not competing in an event you're free to explore the mountain. While Freeriding you may notice a golden beam of light shining down from the heavens (if you don't, you're blind). This marks a challenge. Work your way over and press the A Button to accept. Challenges come in two flavors SSX and 1 on 1. SSX challenges are marked by a golden winged medallion with the SSX logo on it. These challenges can include beating a high score, grinding a certain distance, jumping through floating...

Between the Sheets

Look There's a rail right in front of you. Grind it. Making the next rail is tough because you likely won't have any boost but it can be done with a regular hop at the very end. Continue grinding and boost at the end to make it to the next rail. This run is littered with grindable logs so get as many as you can. Remember that the blue walls at the end of the course count as grindable surfaces too. Get thine self to yon half-pipe post haste. You don't have as much time here as you do on other...

Snow Jam Race

As long as you can remain upright you shouldn't have a problem with this one. Just keep tricking and boosting and you'll stay ahead of the pack. It's unlikely you'll need them to win the race but there are a lot of ways to save time on this run. Keep your eyes peeled for the grindable logs as they are nearly all shortcuts. There's one on the right near the start. Launch off the second ramp aiming at the big tree. That will line you up with it. From that log it's a straight shot to another log....

Big

These events take place around the biggest of the big drops. Make like a stone and trick as much as you can before you hit bottom. Ubertricks are worth the most points so you're going to want to fill your Groove Meter however you can. Look around the start for a Boost icon, a grindable rail, or a place to jump and do a quick trick. Sometimes you'll have enough time to turn around and head up the slope a ways so see if there's anything useable behind you. Each Big Air event consists of two...

Compilation Half Pipe

Be mindful of those decorative yellow arches. You can crash into them. You can also ride the inside of them if you have enough speed and follow the red line. Try it to nab that hard to reach Bonus Points Stars icon with this technique. Try to get to the upper half-pipe. There's a nice X5 Multiplier and Bonus Points Star icon up there. Plus when you transfer from the upper pipe back to the lower, you'll have enough air to do at least three Ubertricks. Watch the clock You don't want to rack up a...

Wild Tree

You'll find the rails in first part of this run are in a convenient line. Grind as many as you can then go for the jumps and trick away. This is just like the Slalom except you have to touch each gate. Just go slow and equip a board that reduces speed and increases edge if you're having trouble. Expect to hold the stick back for a good amount of the run - enough to keep your speed in check but not so much that you lose your momentum. Start your turn slightly before each flag so that you slide...

Between the Sheets Skye

Must avoid making cheap Between the Sheets with Skye joke. Must avoid making cheap Between the Sheets with Skye joke. Uh, sorry. Where were we Ah yes, beat Skye down the hill. Going fast helps and what better way to go fast than to boost so keep that Groove Meter up by tricking whenever you can. Ignore the first log but grind the second that takes you over the ravine. That should give you enough of a lead to stay ahead for the rest of the race as long as you don't ski face first into a tree.

Between the Sheets Race

See those rails all over the place Yeah, those are key to keeping ahead of the competition. Use them for shortcuts and to keep over the trees. Boost at the end of each rail to make sure you fly far enough to land on the next one. Go left at the beginning and grind the log on the ground. This will line you up with the next log over the chasm. Jump off that log and land on a few more to pull ahead of the competition. You'll see a sign directing you to the half-pipe. Stay to the left and grind the...

Ruthless Slalom

The slaloming may not be too tough on this course but spotting the flags through the heavy snow is. Compound that with the dozens of rocks littering the run and you've got yourself a challenging little event. This one is just a matter of knowing where the flags are. Keep looking down the course and you should see most of them. Make sure you cut left after the first flag. Number two is easy to miss. Keep your speed under control as you exit the whiteout area. If you're going too fast you're...

Happiness

You're going to have to get creative here. Every time you see a bump in the snow, jump. Every second adds up. Keep your speed up so that you maximize your airtime when sailing off the big drops. It's more fun to do two or three Ubers in the same jump but there are more than enough air opportunities on this run to do them separately. Oh, and feel free to do the same one over and over. Can't do anything but the Loop Not a problem as long as you do five. The secret to this challenge Don't crash....

Ruthless Race

There's not a whole heck of a lot to say here other than don't crash. If you can maintain a decent speed without slamming into rocks and trees you'll almost definitely nab first. Most of the alternate paths on this course won't save you much time and you're more likely to wipe out on them anyway. Nevertheless, here are a few tips. Because we love you. Go straight through the pagoda but keep a tad to the right. You'll shoot over a rock and end up to the left of a rocky cliff face. Stay on this...
